Ciproford is indicated for the treatment of infections in mild, moderate and severe forms caused by sensitive strains of pathogenic microorganisms. Special attention should be paid to the available information on ciprofloxacin resistance before starting therapy. You should also take into account the official guidelines for the correct administration of antimicrobial drugs.

For adults:

Lower respiratory tract infections caused by gram-negative bacteria:
complications of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease;
bronchopulmonary infections in cystic fibrosis or bronchiectasis;
pneumonia.
Chronic purulent otitis media.
Acute complication of chronic sinusitis, especially in the case caused by gram-negative bacteria.
Infections of the genitourinary tract.
Genital tract infections:
orchoepididymitis, including infections caused by sensitive Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
inflammatory diseases of the pelvic organs, including infections caused by sensitive Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
Infections of the gastrointestinal tract (for example, travelers ' diarrhea).
Intraperitoneal infections.
Infections of the skin and soft tissues caused by gram-negative bacteria.
Malignant inflammation of the outer ear.
Bone and joint infections.
Pulmonary form of anthrax (prevention after exposure to the pathogen and the course of therapy).
Ciproford can be used to treat patients with neutropenia and a febrile condition, with a suspected microbial infection.

For children and teenagers:

Bronchopulmonary infections in cystic fibrosis caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Complicated urogenital tract infections and pyelonephritis.
Pulmonary form of anthrax (prevention after exposure to the pathogen and the course of therapy).
Ciproford can also be used to treat severe infections in children and adolescents when needed.

Treatment should only be prescribed by a doctor who has experience in the treatment of cystic fibrosis and/or severe infections in children and adolescents.

Ciproford is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin or any other antibiotics of the quinolone class, or any auxiliary components of the product. Co-administration with tizanidine is contraindicated.
