Lipostatin

Сomposition
1 coated tablet contains: Dosage 10 mg: active substance: atorvastatin calcium equivalent to atorvastatin 10 mg; excipients: corn starch, lactose, PVPK-30 (Povidone), magnesium stearate, croscarmellose sodium, TCBlue tablet coating. Dosage 20 mg: active substance: Atorvastatin calcium equivalent to atorvastatin 20 mg; excipients: corn starch, lactose, PVPK-30 (Povidone), magnesium stearate, croscarmellose sodium, tablet coating TCWhite.

Storage conditions
Store at a temperature not exceeding 250C in a dry, cool, protected from light place. Keep out of reach of children.
Expiration date
3 years. Do not use after the expiration date.

Lipostatin (calcium atorvastatin) is indicated for:

Reducing the risk of myocardial infarction;
Reducing the risk of stroke;
Reduce the risk of revascularization procedures and angina pectoris.
In patients with clinically pronounced signs of lesions of the coronary vessels of the heart, lipostatin (calcium atorvastatin) is indicated for:

Reducing the risk of non-fatal myocardial infarction;
Reducing the risk of fatal and non-fatal stroke;
Risk reduction during revascularization procedure;
Reducing the risk of hospitalization due to blockage of the heart vessels;
Reduce the risk of angina.
Lipostatin (calcium atorvastatin) is also recommended in the following cases:

As an adjunct to the diet to reduce elevated total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, apo-B, and triglyceride levels in individuals with primary hypercholesterolemia (heterozygous familial and non-familial hypercholesterolemia) and mixed dyslipidemia (Fredrickson types II and IIb).
As an adjunct therapy to the diet in the treatment of individuals with elevated serum triglycerides (Fredrickson type IV).
In the treatment of patients with primary dysbetalipoproteinemia (Fredrickson type III) in the absence of an adequate response to diet.
To reduce the levels of total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol in patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia as an adjunct to other lipid-lowering agents (i.e., AFEREELP), or if such treatment is ineffective.
As a supplement to the diet to reduce the level of total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and apo-B in boys and girls after the first menstruation, aged 10-17 years, suffering from heterozygous familial hyperlipoproteinemia, if the following signs are present after an adequately selected diet therapy:
1) The LDL-cholesterol level remains ≥ 190 mg/dl or

2) The LDL-cholesterol level remains ≥ 160 mg / dl

3) If the family has observed the occurrence of early heart and vascular diseases, or

4) The calf has two or more other risk factors for developing cardiovascular diseases.

Fluvastatin (calcium atorvastatin) is contraindicated in the following cases::

Hypersensitivity to any components of the drug;
Liver diseases in the active stage or unexplained constant increase in serum transaminases, more than three times higher than normal limits;
Pregnancy and lactation.
