Moxifloxacin is indicated for the treatment of infections in adults (aged 18 years and older) caused by drug-sensitive microorganisms in the following conditions: Acute bacterial sinusitis

Moxifloxacin is prescribed for acute bacterial sinusitis caused by

Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus inﬂuenzae, or Moraxella catarrhalis.

Exacerbation of chronic bronchitis

Moxifloxacin is prescribed for exacerbation of chronic bronchitis caused by

Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus inﬂuenzae, Haemophilus parainﬂuenzae, Klebsiella pneumoniae, methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus, or Moraxella catarrhalis.

Community-acquired pneumonia

Moxifloxacin is prescribed for community-acquired pneumonia caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae (including strains resistant to many drugs*), Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis, methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, or Chlamydophila pneumoniae.

Uncomplicated infections of the skin and skin structures.

Moxifloxacin is prescribed for uncomplicated infections of the skin and skin structures caused by methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus or Streptococcus pyogenes.

Known hypersensitivity to moxifloxacin, other fluoroquinolones, or
Any other ingredients of this drug.
Patients with a history of tendon rupture associated with taking fluoroquinolones.
Documented QT rollover.
